A Finnish realist painter with quite the story. During my in Lapland I was drawn to his painting depicting his hatred for the bitter winters in Northern Finland.
He always complained of being freezing, (much like all of us) fair play to him though, he painted/lived in a shed in Kittilä, Lapland. Died of pneumonia, guess he really was cold.
